Emergency & Urgent Dental Care

If you are in pain or have an urgent dental concern, we will work to see you quickly. The priority is relief, protection of the affected area, and a clear diagnosis of what is happening. Treatment is guided by what is needed to safely resolve the immediate issue. From there, we look at what may have caused it.

Before you arrive

If you can, complete your medical and dental history form ahead of time. If you are in significant pain, do not delay your visit for paperwork. We will handle it in the office. Any previous dental records or imaging are helpful if available, and a brief description of your current symptoms helps us prepare before you arrive.

When you arrive

We start by understanding your symptoms, when they began, and what happened in the days leading up to them. This helps us quickly determine whether the issue is structural, biological, or functional in origin.

Why it matters

Emergency symptoms are often part of a larger pattern. Treating the immediate pain is essential, but understanding why it happened helps prevent recurrence.

How we treat urgent care

Every visit follows the same priorities: relief, stabilization, and clarity about the underlying cause.

Focused diagnostic evaluation

We perform a targeted clinical assessment of the affected area, supported by digital radiographs and intraoral evaluation of surrounding structures. We also assess bite or functional contribution when relevant.

Immediate care and stabilization

Once the source is identified, we stabilize the condition. This may include pain relief, temporary or definitive treatment of the affected tooth or area, infection management when present, and protection of compromised structures.

Understanding the cause

Emergency symptoms are often part of a larger structural, biological, or functional pattern. Identifying the root cause helps us recommend follow-up that prevents the issue from returning.

The goal of emergency care

The goal of emergency care is not only relief. It is clarity about what caused the problem, so we can help you prevent it from happening again.

  • Same-day evaluation focused on relief and stabilization.
  • A clear diagnosis of what is happening, structural, biological, or functional.
  • A Diagnostic Clarity Consultation is the recommended next step to fully evaluate underlying causes.
